Saddam to be hanged

Wow, they really hang him!

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Saddam Hussein, among the world’s most brutal dictators, struggled briefly after American military guards handed him over to Iraqi executioners. But as his final moments approached, he grew calm. Dressed in a black coat and trousers, he clutched a Quran as he was led to the gallows, and in one final moment of defiance, refused to have a hood pulled over his head.
After a quarter-century of remorseless brutality that killed countless thousands and led Iraq into disastrous wars against the United States and Iran, Saddam was executed before sunrise Saturday.
A man whose testimony led to Saddam’s conviction and execution said he was shown the body because “everybody wanted to make sure that he was really executed.”

Ti Guan Yin Oolong Tea review

I tried 2 different brand of tie guan yin. one from teacuppa anxi ti guan yin and another one ten ren tie guan yin. The top one from Teacuppa.com while the bottom one is from Ten Ren. Somehow i cant find the photo with teacuppa oolong tea infusion. But compared to the ten ren infusion, teacuppa infusion was yellow-greenish.

Both tea has different taste. The Teacuppa one has more greenish ti guan yin taste while the one from Ten Ren was more roasted taste of oolong tea. both teas are unique. it is hard for me to judge as both tea has different characteristic. Somehow i prefer the greenish oolong from teacuppa as it gives me a fresh tea leaves aroma and taste.

Get them to judge them yourself!

Teacuppa anxi ti guan yin can be seen at http://www.teacuppa.com/An-Xi-Tie-Guan-Yin.asp

2007 Hairstyle!

BUSY!BUSY!BUSY!! I need to get a new hairstyle.

Taken from http://blog.worldvillage.com/health/a_hot_new_hairstyle_for_2007.html

If you’re looking for a hot new hairstyle with which you can ring in the new year, we’ve got a few that might be of interest to you.

If you’re looking for a hot new hairstyle with which you can ring in the new year, we’ve got a few that might be of interest to you.

A ‘bob’ haircut with bangs is very reminiscent of Catherine Zeta Jones in “Chicago”. A bob is traditionally a cut that is about chin length along the sides and cut a little shorter in the back in order to add a little bounce. You can go with really short bangs, very much like Betty Paige or leave them longer to resemble Diane Keaton’s hair in Manhattan. If your hair has a natural tendency for curls, bobs aren’t a good idea as your hair will take on a triangular shape.

Long straight hair with a side part is also a great look for the New Year and the new you. This particular style looks best if your hair is shoulder length or longer and straight. The bangs are cut on an angle allowing a deep side part. You should consider Ann Margaret during the height of her popularity and style. Paris Hilton is another celebrity that wears this style well.

You could also opt for an asymmetrical 80’s style cut with one side shorter than the other. This was all the rage in the height of its day and seems to be making a comeback of sorts. Precisions cuts such as this work best with hair that is a solid color.

Another great hairstyle to start the coming year off right is the zig zag part. This particular hairstyle is particularly flattering to women who have low foreheads. While this look seemed to be at its height of fashion a couple of years back, it is still quite popular and can be spotted on celebrities such as Heather Locklear.

The Pixie cut is one that seems to continue making the rounds in and out of fashion news. For 2007 it seems this cut will definitely be in. First made popular in Rosemary’s Baby when worn by Mia Farrow, this cut has remained somewhat popular ever since. While it experiences times where it is more popular than others. It has become a recent hit, as it is a popular hairstyle worn by contestants on a popular model search show called “America’s Next Top Model”.

When it comes to color, there are many shades from which to choose and platinum seems to be a favorite among celebrities. Of course, this is an extremely difficult color to maintain for any length of time and is very hard on your hair as a result.

Another popular trend among certain crowds are the rather ostentatious purples and burgundy red colors of the early 90’s. The color of a glass of red wine is a good indication of this particular color.

If you have dyed your hair black you should consider the fact that the bluish shades of black are not quite the height of fashion they once may have been and softening those tones with gold or red highlights adds warmth which is a popular trend for the upcoming year.

Green Tea benefits

found this information online..

There are three types of tea Black, Oolong, and Green tea. The difference between the Green tea and the others is that green tea is not fermented, thus keeping in the powerful antioxidants lost in the fermenting process. Green tea also contains polyphenols such as tannins (a nutrient antioxidant) catchins (EGCG which is a powerful antioxidant), and flavenoids, as well as other vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin C. The antioxidants help your body fight against free radicals, which can mutate cells and make you sick.

Numerous scientific discoveries have also linked green tea with remarkable disease preventative properties. Gargling with green tea has been shown to inactivate the flu virus, as has drinking a cup each day to activate the polyphenols (powerful antioxidants) that are also suspected to work well against both the cold and flu viri. As China permits greater access to its interior to scientists, reports grow of entire villages in the green tea growing regions where cancers and sicknesses are statistically lower than the national norm. Though such studies are best classified as emergent, green tea is becoming widely viewed as one of the superfoods of the future.

Here are just a few known health benefits of drinking green tea:

Boosts your immune system
Lowers blood sugar
Helps prevent cavities and tooth decay
Slows the aging process
Helps reduce the risk of cancer
Lowers cholesterol
Aids in weight loss by burning calories
Reduces high blood pressure
Prevents arthritis
Reduces the risk of heart disease
Reduces the risk of stroke
Lowers the risk of blood clot

crazy shopping trip

This morning after breakfast, I went for a little shopping trip. Hell! the crowd was crazy but I managed to get what I needed, a puzzle for Dan, a tie for dad, a watch for Ben, cookies for grandma(sorry I don't have the time to bake this year), chocolates for Lisa, a necklace for Nina, a kettle for newly-wed James, and some ornaments for our Christmas tree. I had more things on my list but I just can't stand the crowd. I guess I get it over the online grocery stores :)

Now, I gonna go back to wrap up the gifts. The wrapping service at the mall was @#$%#@ (figure it out yourself) ;)

My first cup of tea

I have always been a coffee drinker but have recently started to drink tea due to my health problem. Coffee is bad for my stress. I worked on my designs till late at night everyday. Coffee was my savior. But it didn’t last long…when my doctor told me to stop drinking it…I was forced to switch to tea.My first cup of tea was the little mini tuo cha, Jose gave me as a souvenir from Shanghai. They were so cute! I didn’t know how to brewed Chinese tea back then. But this was very simple all I did was put in one mini tuo cha to my teapot and used a strainer. I had my first cup of tea. I didn’t like it the first time as it was mellow but my taste for tea has changed. I started taking tea like earl grey, Darjeeling, jasmine tea and many moreI have also read much about Chinese tea during my leisure time. Apparently, my mini tou cha was a kind of puerh tea that has many benefits such as lowering cholesterol and aiding indigestion. From then onwards, I fell in love with Tea!Below is the mini tuo cha I had. They are running low…
